I used my skills to produce this comparison of my tuition business in 2019 compared to 2020.

Consider September. The blue line is September 2019 and the red line is September 2020. You will see that there was a marked decrease to be polite about it. More directly, my bills were not being paid in September 2020.

This graph led me to ask three questions:

How long can I sustain this low income?
Is it reasonable to assume the market will bounce right back when COVID-19 finishes?
What happens if there is a gradual return to another, lower level of income?

This assessment of my tuition business using an established method led to a much more robust business structure.

That is what I am passionate about. Teaching side hustlers and solopreneurs how to use established tools to start and grow at a pace you can control.

If you are not a solopreneur now, you may well become one. Many people will have to work into their retirement and yet, if you lose your job after age 50, it’s hard to get a job. Add the cost of living crisis and many of us will have a meaningful side hustle for at least a time. Resources by Idun Sophia were developed to empower you in your entrepreneurial journey. You can spend six months learning through trial and error or a few hours reading at your leisure. The choice is yours.

You are right.

There is a course. It is aimed at people who have run their enterprise for at least a few months, so have some numbers and some idea of seasonality. We will learn how to assess the competition, pricing, marketing, budgeting and adjustments to fit your niche better.

I heard that 94% of online courses are never finished. That’s not us! You already know I am a tutor and I know that, if you pay money, you are thirsty for knowledge.
